5) Utilizing a level, mark a line on the post

that is level with the bottom of the horizon-

tal cross member. [See Fig. 3]

6) Place the lower “L” shaped bracket so

the top of the bracket is aligned with the

mark on the post. Mark then drill and at-

tach the bracket using 3/8” carriage bolts.

Check “L” shaped bracket for levelness before

putting in the second bolt.
